Spectrum Donates to the Cell Phones for Soldiers Program

Spectrum Healthcare Resources recently donated almost 60 gently used cell phones to the Cell Phones for Soldiers Program. This is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing cost-free communication to active-duty military members and veterans. Cell Phones for Soldiers was launched in 2004 and has provided troops with over 204 million minutes of free talk time.

Amongst helping provide free communication, Cell Phones for Soldiers has recycled 11million cellphones, reducing the impact on landfills. In 2012, they launched Helping Heroes Home to provide emergency funds for returning veterans in order to help alleviate communication challenges and other hardships. The cell phones donated by Spectrum are going to a great cause in making an effort to help active-duty military and veterans stay in touch with their family and friends. If you would like to donate a phone or get involved, please visit the Cell Phones for Soldiers website.
